Lyla Needs Her Camera!!!

Donation protected
Hi babs!

Unfortunately, my prized Sony RX100 VII was stolen/lost at the Mighty Hoopla on Friday 3rd June! I've admittedly been a bit careless recently (I've been very clumsy and prone to accident over the past few months, and this was the second time I'd lost my camera in two weeks!).

I lost this camera during Anastacia's set, trying to find my friend after he'd gone off without telling me in person (the signal at Hoopla is hell). It was in the loggy bit outside the main stage (above), during No More Drama and before Sick and Tired. So, if you found a camera there later that day or on the Saturday (or at Cross the Tracks!), consider this crowdfunder moot.

I never bothered registering the serial number and after ProtectYourBubble screwed me over r.e. a pair of headphones, I cancelled all my policies with them, including the one that insured this camera.

What makes this urgent is that I'm halfway through my residency as photographer for The Glory's iconic drag competition Lipsync1000. Now that I've lost this camera, my gigs, career, and income hang in the balance.

As well, I've got an assessment for a place in a prestigious night school coming up on Tuesday 7th June, and I feel like this loss will hinder me when it comes to selection, as well as future opportunities.

My current goal is £1200, as that'll include the cost of a new RX100 VII (as per Clifton Cameras), + insurance and a new SD card. However, as the camera is quite hard to come by new, I'm also open to buying another camera of that ilk, such as a previous model of the series, the Sony ZV-1 (£699), CANON PowerShot G7X MK III (also £699), or a mirrorless build like the SONY a6100 (£749). Any leftover money donated will go towards trans folks in London (I see ya Mads!)

I understand this will be no easy feat, especially as I'm in the thick of some massive projects. But I'm hoping for a miracle, whether it's my own camera coming back, or this fund filling up like my tummy.

Love ya babs,
Lyla
