Lydia's Sonning 10K run for refugees - 4th of July

My name is Lydia Maric and my friend and I will be running for refugees to provide one week's supply of food!

The children in the photo have been displaced for over 5 months by the Fulani herdsmen, terrorising the region.  They face hunger and exposure to bad weather. The camp is located in Heipang, Jos South, Plateau State, Nigeria (North Central). 

The gift of £2000 can provide warm clothing and food to last them a week, and we will be glad if you can help us RAISE MUCH MORE!

Food items to be purchased to feed 150 families for a week (approximate £14 per family):
20 bags of rice
10 bags of beans
80 tubers of yam
15 jerrycans of cooking oil
20 cartons of seasoning cubes 
15 bags of salt 
1 bale of warm clothing for the children (1000 pieces  - sweaters, head warmers, socks and hoodies)
