Lydia A. Heras, of Corpus Christi, Texas died on May 25, 2017 due to pulmonary and spinal complications. She was 84. The funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 31 prayed by her son, a priest. However, burial of her body has been postponed indefinitely because of the conditions of the burial policy she purchased in 2015.
The policy would only cover Mrs. Heras burial expenses if she lived two years after her application was approved. She died four days before that effective date. Her family was told minutes before the Mass that she would not be entombed.
The Funeral Home is asking for $7,350 to allow Mrs. Heras to have her burial proceed. Thank you and God bless you!
