Lybie’s MLD Fund

For those that are unfamiliar with Lybie’s story-

Lybie is a beautiful 4 year old who was diagnosed with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) in 2021 just before her 3rd birthday. MLD is a neurological genetic disorder that hinders Lybie’s ability to control her body due to a build up of white matter in the brain over time which causes her nerves to go haywire. Lybie was never able to walk on her own, which is what led us to investigate her eventual diagnosis. She eventually lost her ability to talk, eat, swallow, stand, sit up and play on her own. She now eats through a tube in her belly, and loves to go out and see the world, interact with other kids and sing & dance.

Lybie is the most incredible person you could ever meet, and her smile light up a room. We are very fortunate to have some incredible family support and we have recently been able to hire a nurse for Lybie to help us with her throughout the day as she required 24/7 supervision.

 As a result we have outgrown the vehicles we have and are needing a van.

 Any help received here will go toward the down payment for the vehicle. We truly appreciate everyone’s support though this journey!
