Hello friends and family!
For my social psychology masters program at Cambridge, I am studying gender construction in traditional Albanian communities where women are allowed to live as men as part of a complex custom. For my research, I will be travelling to these regions of Albania for about a month at the end of March to conduct interviews and use surveys to understand people's perceptions of gender and social categories.
I am currently raising funds for a successful trip to Albania. These funds will be used to compensate respondents, to compensate interpreters and translators, and for travel and living expenses.
This trip is the key component of my master's dissertation. Ultimately, I hope that this research will contribute to a better understanding of social perceptions, prejudice, stereotypes, and how to promote equality.
