Krista's Honeymoon in the Hospital

Before we get started you need to know a fun fact about our pal Krista:
She was born from the pages of an action hero comic book and has super powers that fill her with compassion, empathy, selflessness, ambition, brilliance, humility, bravery and wit. These extraordinary abilities are the exact qualities of a good nurse, so that is what she became. This super hero nurse married the love of her life on January 15th followed by a magical honeymoon in the Bahamas.
The not so fun part of Krista’s comic book adventure:
As she and her new hubby Bob landed in Georgia she became terribly ill, was shuttled by ambulance from the airport and then admitted to what turned out to be a subpar hospital in Atlanta.
She spent a week in said hospital without the slightest sign of a diagnosis. Distraught, in worse condition and looking for answers she and Bob hopped a plane to Iowa. Upon arriving in Mason City she was admitted to Mercy Hospital and rushed into surgery.
Instead of experiencing post-honeymoon happiness, she spent over two weeks in two separate hospitals and now has to spend almost two more weeks recovering at home.
Now remember the part where we mentioned her super powers? How about the one where she embodies the definition of humility? The last thing she would ever ask for is help from others, so we made certain she knows nothing of this fundraising endeavor. As a matter of fact she will probably learn of it the same time you do.
Your turn to be the super hero:
Most of you reading this are in the healthcare industry and won’t be surprised to hear that Krista’s hospital bills are growing by the day. She works what is called “weekend package” as a nurse in the Allen Hospital Emergency Department. “Weekend Package” employees don’t accrue paid time off like most of us, so Krista is homebound without pay.
Now here is your time to shine; we are asking for some dough to dampen the blow of Krista’s recovery. We appreciate however much you can give, whether it’s $1 or $1000.
