When I received an email saying I was accepted into the Stanford Ignite program, it was the proudest moment of my life. I’m asking for your help to make my dream of attending Standford Ignite a reality. I need to fund raise 14K for tuition in less than 10 days. Despite my best effort to prepare financially for this moment, I cannot do this alone. I need your help!
Before you make a decision please consider my story:
My friends kept telling me I could get in. But even as I was applying I didn't think I was good enough. I thought to myself, acceptance into the highest ranked program at the #1 business school in the country, #2 in the world... yeah right.
I attribute my ambition to my upbringing in Spanish Harlem. It’s what defines me. That ambition along with a combination of risk and faith is why I decided to apply to Stanford Ignite.
This program represents for me, the start of my journey as an entrepreneur.
With ideas so big, they have the potential to change the world; Stanford is the only place to help me bring my ideas to fruition.
Being surrounded by like-minded individuals and acclaimed professors will create a learning experience and network like no other.
My goal for this gofundme campaign is the equivalent to tuition for the Stanford Ignite program. The price of education is a steep one, but it’s an investment whose return is measured in social capital. It’s an investment in our future.
I made my decision to bring my fundraising efforts to my community using the same combination of risk and faith I used when I applied to this program. I’m asking my community to make an investment in me. I will work hard and make sure I continue to give back no matter what happens.
This process has already been an amazing learning experience for me. Reaching my gofundme goal and being able to attend the Stanford Ignite Program will let me know that anything is possible. With that kind of faith I know I will be able to succeed.
