Our mother has been diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer, it is at Stage 4. Conventional medicine does not give her much hope of survival so we are seeking a holistic approach to treatment. Here is our story.

Gallbladder Surgery
In October 2017, our mom was rushed to the hospital for her severe pain and excessive bile vomiting. The doctors told her she had many gallstones and needed surgery to remove her gallbladder. Upon surgery, they found a large tumor which tested positive for cancer.

False Hope
In late November, her CAT scan results showed that she was free of cancer. We all sighed in relief that she was in the clear. However, in December, the doctors recommended that she go in for an operation to remove 20% of her liver where the gallbladder had been resting. They explained that there could be undetected microscopic cancer cells; they wanted to eliminate the chance of it spreading.

The Cancer Had Spread
Our mother's surgery was on January 3, 2018. While in the waiting room, the surgeon came out to speak with us. It was alarming because it was sooner than her surgery was suppose to be completed. He delivered the grave news that the cancer cells had spread. He explained that these "cobblestones" were spread about like tossed seeds throughout her peritoneum sac (the lining of the abdominal cavity). The surgeon explained that they were too small to be noticed in the CAT scan and that they had developed since her gallbladder surgery.

A Rare Cancer with Little Hope of Survival
Although not an oncologist, the surgeon said that most likely, the next step would be 6 months of aggressive chemotherapy followed by a very serious and specialized surgery that is only performed in certain states throughout the country. This type of cancer is very rare and the doctor was not hopeful that she will survive.

Holistic Alternative Cancer Treatment
We did some research on alternative cancer treatments that involve a more holistic approach. We found a center called An Oasis of Healing that includes:
-low dosage chemotherapy
-lymphatic therapies
-acupuncture
-counseling
-anti-cancer nutrition
-meditation

The person we spoke to over the phone said they have treated a 70% success rate and they have treated this type of cancer.

Treatment Must Start as Soon as Possible
Given that the gallbladder cancer spread rapidly over the last couple of months, it is imperitave that our mom start the treatment as soon as possible.

A Loving Mother
At only 53 years of age, our mom has a lot more life to live. She is a working single mother raising a teenager and, unfortunately, lacks the funds to pay for the treatment out of pocket. However, she is a loving mother who has always put her children first before anyone else. She deserves the best treatment possible.
