Lupus Relief for Lory

Donation protected
From the first day that Lory became a mother she has lived a selfless life for her two sons. Lory has allowed nothing to ever derail her primary goal of supporting and loving her children through the years. Unfortunately Lory's health has failed her as she was diagnosed with Lupus several years ago.

Lupus is a chronic inflammatory disease that occurs when your body's immune system attacks your own tissue and organs. This inflammation can impact many body systems including skin, joints, brain, blood cells, heart, lungs, and kidneys. There is no cure for Lupus.

Lory worked full time in her career at Costco Wholesale, always energetic and dependable, even well after her Lupus diagnosis. As time has passed Lory's condition worsened and her need for hospital care became more frequent. Several years ago Lory became permanently disabled and could no longer work. Since that time Lory's health has continued to deteriorate. Without listing all the severe complications of Lupus that are impacting Lory daily, it is important to know that she spends considerable time in the hospital and with doctors and specialists. Lory is in constant pain in numerous parts of her body, and some of her body systems failed her. This is happening to her, even though she is only 47 years old.

Lory is on permanent disability which pays a dismal amount of money monthly that doesn't even cover a modest rent for a home. Her medicaid coverage only funds a portion of her medical costs, and her son Camdon helps by funding a monthly supplemental insurance plan for her, however these still fall short of covering the large costs of her treatments. Lory's family and friends have stepped up to contribute a significant amount of funds monthly to help cover living expenses including utilities, rent, food, car repairs, etc.

To this day, even though Lory has difficulty participating in basic activities that most of us take for granted, she still is a dedicated mother, helping and supporting her sons in any way possible, and her faith is as strong as ever.

Lory's medical bills have accumulated. She has bills from St. Joseph's hospital in Stockton, UCSF for specialists and doctors in San Francisco, and now from a dentist. The medication Lory must take daily has destroyed her natural teeth and many of them are now being removed and replaced with dentures. This is costly and painful.

Lory's close family is requesting anyone who is able to donate any amount of funds that will go directly toward her medical costs. Your generousity will be greatly appreciated and more helpful than words can express.
