Mr. Yunchuan Luo, a Mandarin and Algebra teacher, Asian American Club and Ping Pong Club sponsor at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, IL has fallen ill with an aggressive form of stomach cancer. Mr. Luo is a selfless, caring, loving teacher who has impacted his student's lives with his work.
Mr. Luo will be going through several rounds of Chemotherapy, and therefore, his health insurance will not be able to cover the cost. We are also going to use the money for medication not covered by insurance. We are also raising money for a plane ticket to China so that Mr. Luo may visit his family. In the event that he is not healthy enough to make the trip, we are striving for a ticket so that a family member (or more) may come to America to visit Mr. Luo.
