Lungs For Tony

Donation protected
My name is Tony and all my life I have been fighting Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic, terminal disease which affects me at a molecular level and shortens my lifespan. It affects the pancreas, lungs, and liver. In 2012 I was fortunate enough to receive a liver transplant. 7 years later I’m fighting for a Double-Lung Transplant. From 2014 to now my lung function has drastically decreased, I am on Oxygen and now fighting to survive until I can receive a Double-Lung Transplant. I have recently begun to undergo the evaluation process as of November and will continue for the next several months, through the harsh weather of Winter and the most difficult time of year for traveling. Most of this process will be done in Boston, which means numerous trips and occasional overnight stays from my home in Maine. After the surgery there’s a good chance I will need ongoing physical therapy and rehab which will all have to be paid out of pocket, and I will be unable to work in the meantime. I really do not like to ask for help, in fact it’s the hardest thing for me to do, but I know in order for me to continue this fight I need it. I thank you for any support you are able to give, every penny helps. Me and my family thank you from the bottoms of our hearts for your help, even just sharing this can help raise awareness.
