Lungs for Logan

Tax deductible
27 year-old Logan Roush has cystic fibrosis (CF) and diabetes, and he hopes to get a needed lung transplant in the near future due to his declining health.  Logan has spent his adult years helping many others through being President of PA Cystic Fibrosis, Inc. (PACFI), helping in his community, and sponsoring a 'Yard Haunt' that annually helps someone with CF.  Two years ago (see photo), he and his family members/volunteers raised over $2000 to help another young adult with CF who successfully received a lung transplant and is still doing well.  Now it's Logan's turn to get a life-saving lung transplant so he can continue to inspire others through his motto of "dream like you'll live forever, and live like you'll die tomorrow."

The uninsured costs of a double lung transplant are around $50,000, and Logan will receive his transplant at Duke University Medical Center so he and his father (will take a leave of absence from his job) will have to move to North Carolina for several months to a year while his working mother remains at their Pennsylvania home to ensure bills are paid.

With Logan's pulmonary function around 25%, it's imperative that major funding happens soon to enable he and his Dad to find a place to live and be able to pay for rent/food/miscellaneous both before and months after his transplant.  Duke will be providing follow-up care to ensure the new lungs aren't rejected and don't become infected.
