Lung Transplant for Robert

My name is Alysia. Robert is the love of my life. We have been through good times, but unfortunately , we are now in for a journey to save his life. I hate to ask for help. I hate to ask for anything. But this is not about me, thus why I have build up the courage to start this page. My husband Robert was diagnosed a few years ago with IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis). Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis means "an unknown factor is causing the lungs to become scarred." IPF is a serious, progressive disease, which means it gets worse over time.  His team of doctors have come to the realization that although the medication that they placed him on slightly slowed the progression of this disease , it has not stopped it and therefore he will need a lung transplant. The funds that I am trying to raise is to cover what our medical insurance will not; an apartment to stay after surgery  (He will have his transplant and post care at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston). He will be required to stay in Boston for a month after surgery. The funds will also be used towards transportation, his 24hour care takers  (I am unable at the time since I am not eligible yet for FMLA) and to help keep us a float as he  is not able to work.  From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
