Lung transplant , for Moin Nevin

Moin nevin has been living with cystic fibrosis for 35 years, he was diagnosed when he was only 3 months old, living with this lung disease has never been easy, he suffered many lung infection resulting in a lot of hospital stays. He had three lung collapse back to back. A bowel blockage twice. And because of the mucus accumulation in his body he now has no sense of smell or taste, and it also affect his hearing. But he's a warrior at heart and that is why I think he has been able to be with us for so long. But even the greatest warriors need a break sometime. So when we received this amazing news that his time has come to receive a transplant , we couldn't be any happier . So please here our story on how everything happened
Wednesday June 21, we attended a normal scheduled appointment in Moncton with Moins respirologists Dr, Marcel Maillet , in which he then informed us that Moin’s lung function has decreased approximately 20% since 2014, resulting him to have a current lung function of 19%. Having a lung function of 19% is a very low number,so it was an easy decision for Moin’s doctor to decide that it is now time for moin to start making the preparation for a double lung transplant. He also told us that because of how low Moin’s lungs are functioning at, Toronto will most likely prioritize Moin to make sure he gets his surgery as quick as possible.
As learned from the information we received from the New Brunswick Lung Association, we will have no choice but to be temporarily relocating to the city of Toronto where the procedure will take place,
The cost of living in Toronto is not going to be cheap, especially since we have also learned that we are going to be responsible for the cost of our lodging, travel, and food, for the entire time we will be in Toronto This could be as long as up to 18 months. We would like to ask our friends and family for any amount of donation to help us with the cost of living while we live there.
