Lung Cancer will LOSE

April 2016 was a time that our family will never forget. My mom, Beverly, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. She immediately started chomotherapy and through this she continued to work full time even though it was very exhausting. 

Fast forward to May 2017. The spot on my mom's lung was still not shrinking with the chemotherapy that they were using. The doctors decided that she should undergo 32 rounds of radiation as well which would occur daily. Due to this and how exhausted she already was, they decided that it was necessary for her to take a leave of absence. 

Right before she was scheduled to go back to work, she was dealing with major pains and ended up having to have a full hysterectomy at which they found cancer throughout the ovaries, fallopian tubes and more. Due to finding more cancer, they decided to look at a different route than the chemotherapy. 

My mom is now taking a chemotherapy pill to see if it will fight the cancer that remains. This pill makes her extremely tired and weak. She is set to go back to work in a little over a week but will not be able to go back full time. 

I am setting this up in hopes that we can help with all of the medical bills that are coming in as well as help offset the cost of her not being able to work full time.  Even with this nasty disease, she is always willing to help anyone and everyone. She always puts others in front of herself. And she continues to be an amazing wife, mother, and nana to those that love her.

From the beginning, we as a family were determined that she would defeat this. We still hold fast to that belief and thank you all for the love and support you have already provided. Prayers are always welcome and appreciated!
