Lunenburg Public Skate Park

The Lunenburg School District implemented a new program in school this year called "Genius Hour".  It enables  the kids to work inpependently on projects throughout the year on things that interest them and can benefit their community.  A group of six 7th graders have taken on the challenge of coordinating the installation of a new skate park for the benefit of the Town of Lunenburg.  The kids have a vision for a skate park that will provide a safe place for the youth, where they can have fun, get some excercise, and ditch the computers and phones.  They have been working to research other communities that have built skate parks. They have met with the local parks commissioners, the school committee, etc, and are seeking community wide support for the project.  Please join us in the fundraising effort!  Your support will fund design and final construction...and, most of all, will show support for this important project in Lunenburg.  Please partner with this talented group of kids and support our cause to build a skate park in Lunenburg!  Check us out on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/lunenburgskatepark/

Please contact us through the facebook site if you are interested in an "in-kind" donation of materials or labor, etc.
