LUNCH AND SUPPLIES FOR THE STAFF

Ever look up what happened on your birthday and say something like -
“oh look, Bon Jovi was born on my birthday, how about that!”
My birthday is April 15th and here’s a “what happened on my birthday” rundown.
Lincoln died on my birthday.
The Titanic sunk on my birthday.
Taxes are due on my birthday.
Top that off with the Boston Marathon bombing on and you get the idea.
One might begin to think my birthday was snakebit.
So to shake things up a bit and get some positive going - This year I want to throw a party and invite the staff at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck out to lunch.
Actually since they’re all insanely busy I want to send them lunch instead.
Why Holy Name? Because they took great care of my Mom when she was alive. And believe me, we were there a lot, and Peggy could be a real pain in in the you know what.
So I’ve contacted Holy Name and told them lunch on the 15th was on me, and they gave me the names of a few restaurants in Teaneck that have been supplying food to the staff. My hope is to raise enough to buy lunch for the staff of 150. My hope is to raise three grand.
And who doesn't like opening a present on their birthday?
So in addition to lunch everyone gets a NEW OUTFIT!
Think a bright new pair of gloves, mask and PPE. BEAUTIFUL!
It’s like this. My dentist, Don Fanelli, once told me of a friend who was battling cancer. Dr. Fanelli told me he couldn’t help his friend’s pain or cure his cancer, but he could bake him a lasagna.
To me it was a beautiful way of helping, and showing you care. This to me is like that. I can’t make gloves or masks, I can’t invent or manufacture respirators. But I can buy lunch.
So throw some money in my hat, anything you got, and together we can bake a really big lasagna and I’’ll be able to add that to my ‘this day in history’ birthday list.
