<div><strong>Luna (Lady) was surrendered to Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue in July of 2024 after she was found roaming the streets near Detroit.</strong> The shelter that rescued her originally thought she was a Husky/Shepherd mix, but once she moved in with me, I quickly realized she was way more GSD than Husky! She is so sweet and tender-hearted and was scooped up quickly by German Shepherd-loving Barb!

<div>She settled in with her new family quickly, and they fell in love with her as deeply as everyone else who meets her. Knowing that German Shepherds often have hip issues, her new mom was diligent about having her evaluated. After a few veterinary visits, she was told that Luna had virtually no hip sockets and would need a total hip replacement on BOTH SIDES! <strong>She is scheduled for her first surgery on 8/19/25 and the bill is going to be on the upside of $8,000 for just one hip!</strong> She isn't even two years old, and her quality of life means the world to her new family. Any little bit helps a TON towards her surgery costs and aftercare.
