Please help me raise money for Luna, an 8-year-old Siberian Husky who has gone completely blind in her left eye.
Funds will be exclusively used for her surgical procedure.
Her rescuer has struggled with her glaucoma treatment for over a year, after finding her roaming the streets because her owner abandoned her. She has been trying to save her eyes, but the battle has been lost in one of them. She has gone blind in her left eye, so her options are to remove the eye (enucleation) or perform a ciliary body ablation
. The primary goal of CBA is to eliminate aqueous humor production and thus achieve a low intraocular pressure to eliminate the pain and eye bulging. This is done under anesthesia and is very costly.
Luna is being seen by Dr. Tucci from Veterinary Specialists in Homestead, Florida, who has determined this is her best option to avoid enucleation. The cost of the procedure is $2,383.78, plus she still needs treatment on her right eye to save it, which involves 4 different medications costing about $130 monthly.
Please help Luna and Elizabeth (her rescuer).
