Luna A's intersex reparation surgery

I was born intersex, and I have the scars to prove it. Surgery was done on me at birth (without my consent), and I learned about this through my experiences, a genetic chromosome test in high school, my scars and research, and my intuition. I've always felt more feminine than masculine, yet I grew up in the south where LGBT people are often not supported. I was forced into a box for many years, even though I've always known who I am and wanted to be. I cried so often about that, and knowing that I wouldn't be accepted for who I am.

Today, I am free of that. I got away from that place where my bones were literally broken. Today I am the most blessed I have ever been: I live with the Aina and my ohana in Hawai'i. I don't yet have a car or job, but I'm free and thankful that I am rich in good friends, food, shelter, water, sunlight, plants, animals, and countless blessings ♥  I'm thankful to my past self, and how strong she was even while suffering, repressed and in fear. I'm also thankful to everyone who was kind to me. I have a lot of mixed feelings about how I grew up, but even though I got hurt, their intentions were not bad. I'm grateful for the good parts of my childhood.

I am here because I hope for your help. I have a surgery at Mozaic Care this October. A new procedure is possible, that will help put me back to how I was born, before these scars. I am blessed with amazing insurance from the most beautiful Hawai'i, and so far my procedure is fully covered

I have to pay for flights, transportation, housing, and basic necessities while in San Francisco. I'm talking with a friend and may have a place to stay, but this is why I'm asking for your help.
