Lulu's Recovery

Thank you for taking the time to read my gofundme. 2018 has been a rough year for so many people, including myself.  Sometimes it’s difficult to be vulnerable and ask for help, but this is a time when I desperately could use a helping hand. I’m asking for support to recover lost wages as well as medical bills from three abdominal surgeries I have endured in the last few months. I had two major surgeries in May, a surgical appendectomy from a ruptured appendix that was misdiagnosed as ovarian cysts and a week later I had a second surgery to remove an abscess from the appendectomy, resulting in a two-week stay in the hospital and a four-week recovery.  Even with insurance, I incurred $7300 in medical bills and  a drastic loss in wages, as I am self-employed and have a physically active job walking and caring for dogs. 

Just when I was on the road to feeling able to fully work again, I had to have a third surgery for an obstructed bowel due to the scar tissue from the previous surgeries, creating another week's stay in the hospital, and I’m again out of work for three weeks to recover.  I am honestly struggling in a monumental way.  I know everything happens as it should, and I’m trying to stay positive and move forward.  I’m just taking it one day at a time and nurturing my body and feeding my soul.  I’m still alive and able to live another day to feel the sunshine on my face, see the fall colors and see my dogs smiling faces!
