Luke's Legacy

Donation protected
On Saturday the 24th of June Luke Smidmore, 17, passed away in tragic and sudden circumstances.

In honor of Luke we have set up this campaign in consultation with his family, so that everyone can leave a message of love and support and, if you like, make a donation.

Luke's family have asked that the funds raised will go towards a useful community project that builds on and reminds us always of Luke.  We are currently in talks with Waverley Council to erect a memorial park bench and tree at Luke’s favourite spot at South Bondi Beach. More details will be coming about this soon.

We will be donating $1500 to Rose Bay Secondary College where Luke was a student for five years. Luke was a much loved part of the Rose Bay school community and was studying to enter his HSC year.

We're also now working with the Prince of Wales Hospital Fund (http://powhf.org.au) to support them on their fundraising efforts and will be making a donation to the fund once the Bondi Beach memorial has been finalised.  You can find out more about POWHF and how we are working together on their facebook page here: http://bit.ly/2tAN5rN

We aim to keep his legacy alive, not just for him, but for our community where Luke's heart and soul will always reside.

Most importantly we would like to pay tribute to a fantastic young man that has left us far too soon.

Thank you for your support.  If you have any questions about the campaign, I'm Lee (Luke's step mum) and you can reach me via Go Fund Me.
