Luka’s Knee Replacement

A little less than a year ago we noticed Luka was starting to limp a little on his left hind leg. We figured it was arthritis so we monitored it and put him on a joint supplement and pain reliever. We finally were able to take him to the Vet yesterday to see what was wrong. Well, as it turns out my poor dog ruptured a ligament in his knee, similar to our ACL. X-rays confirmed the vets suspicions, they also showed mild arthritis in his right hip and this other knee, but no other abnormalities. So my poor dog will need knee replacement surgery to fix it, since there is no other way to stabilize his knee. I’m was emailed the estimate for his surgery and it will cost $4976.30.

As most of you know Emmet and I don’t often ask for help, in fact we don’t like doing so. At time we would appreciate any and all help you can provide to lessen this burden and help us take care of our best boy. He’s just the best dog anyone could ask for. Thank you all so much for your kindness.
