Beloved handyman, friend and father loses all in theft.
 
For the better part of 20 years, Luis a skilled carpenter, electrician and all around handyman has been referred from friend to trusted friend as a highly skilled, competent, thoughtful and reliable contractor for home repair and improvement projects.  This is the way he provided for his children and family.  Luis would work weekends and holidays and would always be there in a pinch or when an emergency arose, even during times he himself was in pain from a bad knee.  In truth, all who have come to know Luis and see his dedication have come to consider him a friend.

A few days ago, his work van was stolen from his driveway, in broad daylight while he and his family were home.  Luckily no one was hurt, but they witnessed everything he owned and worked so hard for all these years, disappear in less than a minute.  ALL his tools, saws, power tools, ladders, electrical and other contractors' equipment ... STOLEN.  With no insurance coverage for his loses and only liability on his work van, he has been devastated!  As a contractor, no tools and no work truck means no work and no money for Luis and his family.

Luis has touched so many people with his kindness over the years and done so much to help others, now is our chance to help him.  During this time of holiday giving, we are asking for your help to assist a generous and caring person in putting his livelihood back together.  The money raised will be used to purchase new tools and equipment, for Luis.

Though we would like to raise enough funds to replace his work truck and all his tools, we understand these are difficult times for everyone and hope that by raising $7,500 we can replace his tools with additional funds going towards  a reliable replacement vehicle.
