On August 24th, Luis woke up to get ready for work. Luis kept stating that something didn’t feel right. As he stood up to finish getting dressed, he fell. 911 was called, and he was taken to the hospital and has suffered a stroke. Luis spent 3 days in the hospital and is now home recovering.

Karen has been his sole caregiver while looking for a job and trying to cover bills. Luis was the sole financial provider for him and Karen. Although Luis will have a job to go back to, it is unclear when he will be released to return to work.

Luis and Karen have no car and will need funds to get back and forth to doctor appointments as well as pay for bills such as their phones to communicate with doctors and possible employers for Karen.

No amount is too small, and simply sharing this will be greatly appreciated by both Luis and Karen.
