Baby Luella is almost here, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome her to the world. As parents who have benefited from great educations, we're already thinking about how we can remove financial barriers to the schooling opportunities Luella will unlock during her lifetime.
By the time baby Luella is ready for college, the cost of four years of higher education at a private university is expected to be almost half a million dollars, and just about half of that for a state school.
Soon-to-be Maci (Grandmother) Heather is setting up a 529 plan to start saving now, but we can't set up the plan until after Luella is out of her mama's belly.
If you'd like to make a lasting gift to our daughter, consider contributing here to Luella's education. Education is the most impactful gift you can give to a young person, and even small gifts now will grow into trajectory-altering support for Luella by the time she is ready to use it.
