Lucy's ACL/Knee Surgery

The moment I met Lucy was one of the best moments of my life. It was love at first sight for the both of us. A white and brindle English Bulldog with enough personality for an animal three times her size, Lucy has always charmed people with her excitement and friendliness.
A few weeks ago, Lucy came inside from the yard with a horrible limp on her right back leg. I immediately rushed her to the vet and was told by doctors that Lucy tore her ACL and needed extensive surgery. With this surgery, doctors say Lucy will be able to recover with very little chance of re-injury.
On days when her limp is particularly bad, Lucy huddles in her bed and sleeps, uninterested in interacting with anyone. Seeing such a drastic change in her personality has been terrifying. Lucy is more than a dog to me; She is my family and the only thing that consistently puts a smile on my face day in and day out. She has taught me the true meaning of selflessness, love, and companionship.
The surgery Lucy needs is incredibly expensive, and I did not anticipate such a painful accident happening to her at such a young age (2). Sadly, Lucy’s pet insurance won’t cover this surgery, so I am reaching out for support. Anything will help!
