Lucy's UK Donkey Foundation
PROUDLY PRESENTING -
LUCY’S UK DONKEY FOUNDATION
Trustees in the UK have registered the British charity, Lucy’s UK Donkey Foundation, registration number: 1174959.
This Charitable Incorporated Organisation will be providing financial support by raising urgent funds to support the critical work of the sanctuary, rescue missions and outreach projects that are all carried out by Lucy and her very small team in the Holy Land through the Israeli charity, Lucy’s Sanctuary for Holy Land Donkeys, that was officially registered in Israel in October 2015, registration number: 580615110.
The UK Trustees will utilise all funds raised in the UK, in the best manner, to have the best impact for Lucy’s UK Donkey Foundation and its objects and to ensure that the critical work that is carried out in Israel, can continue.
The UK Board of Trustees would like to thank you for your wonderful support that has enabled Lucy and her small team to make such a vital difference to the many donkeys that they have been able to help and hopefully, will continue to help.
Thank you.

From Lucy -
Despite the travesty in 2015 which saw my departure from a previous charity, which I’d founded and worked at for 15 years, I was determined to continue my mission and life's work to help give a better life to the working and abandoned donkeys in the Holy Land.
I would appeal to everybody to please help as much as you can and please help spread the word about our work.
Some may remember the original story of my rescue of 'Donk' in Israel in the early 90's during my five years of work at the Jerusalem SPCA.
Many of you will know Donk was eventually flown to the UK and he was my pure inspiration to set up my original charity to enable me to help and save thousands of donkeys and horses from ill treatment and harm across the war torn territories of Israel and the Palestinian West Bank.
I knew I had to continue my work with the same unique love, dedication and determination that enabled me to begin, develop and expand it the way I had over the years. I have 17 years worth of knowledge, psychology, skills, experience and a deep understanding that have all enabled me to break down the political and cultural barriers, bringing Jews and Arabs together to work towards achieving a more compassionate future for animals.
My determination cannot falter when I know that so many donkeys need our protection and their owners deserve our support.
For our work to continue, we urgently need monetary donations in order to be able to help many more donkeys in need. I also welcome donations of medical supplies such as wound ointments, dressings, bandages and items such as head collars (to fit donkeys/small horses).
Me and my small team have already started treatments for the working animals in the Arab village of Qalansuwa and Palestinian town of Qalqilya. And we have to date, currently 29 rescued donkeys and 5 horses, each with their own little story, some more distressing than others.
Our Sanctuary is currently based in Qalansuwa, but we are soon to be moving to a larger, safer area in a moshav. More details soon...
Financial support is of course hugely appreciated and needed to help progress our work, take care of the animals in our care and do our utmost to educate owners and children.
Also to continue our project doing all that we can to ease the suffering and burden of those heavily over worked donkeys and horses in the Palestinian areas and work hard to protect as many as we can in our area of work, particularly in light of the terrible global threat facing donkeys today, the hide trade for Chinese medicine.
I would be so grateful if you could continue to help me to help them...
Your support and monetary donations, however small they may be, will be truly appreciated.
Please see the website for more information.
Thank you so much.
