Lucy's Expedition to Cambodia
Donation protected
I am raising money to help fund my expedition to Cambodia in 2020 with Camps International. Camps International is a non-profit organisation aiming to help communities living below the poverty line and wildlife in developing countries.
This expedition is entirely self-funded. The money I will raise not only allows for me to travel, but also supplies the equipment needed when working, as well as 40% going towards the local community.
While in Cambodia, I will be working on projects such as protecting the local wildlife, improving healthcare and sanitation in communities and improving education. These projects are vital as 30% of the Cambodian population have no access to fresh drinking water, over 50% of Cambodian children do not receive a decent standard of education, and 33% of the Cambodian population live under the poverty line. This means they are living on less than $1 a day.
As well as helping the communities, I will have a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to trek through the Kulen Mountains for five days, giving me the chance to take in the spectacular views and vibrant array of jungle wildlife surrounding me. The finishing point of the trek is the Angkor Wat Temple.
I would be very grateful for any support you could give me for my fundraising endeavours. Please check mine or my mum's facebook for any updates.
