Trans Is Resistance.
This is the hardest ask I've been faced with as my hairline has always been my Achilles Heel regarding my Trans identity. It's something that I know scores of trans women deal with, but I believe it is something that in my case, can be corrected enough to feel comfortable in my skin. It's not a procedure like top or bottom surgery, but it will greatly reduce my stress and improve my safety navigating the world as a trans woman. I have spoken to many trans humans that have had the procedure and they have said it is the best decision that they have made. It changed everything for them. I recognize my privilege in this context and will continue giving to and supporting Trans humans that have been marginalized far more than I have. I've researched surgeons and spoke to many trans humans that have had the procedure and they've all said it was the best decision that they made. It changed everything for them. I cannot afford to fly to the places it is less costly than the USA, and have settled for the fact that right here in NYC they do so many that I can trust that the procedure will be a success. I will need to be carried mentally and emotionally through this stage of my life. Ive met with a few surgeons and the cost is $5.50 per Graf and they can take up to 2000 during a single procedure. I will likely consider having a second down the line to have a full head of hair, but do believe this is a need and not just a want. I like to swim and run and exist in the world and my hair is my biggest trigger. Please help if you can and Thank You
