Lucky's Cat House is a Foster Based Pending 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to helping the feline population in Lincoln, Marshall, and Giles counties in Sothern middle Tenn. With the uncertainty of the economy and employment during the Covid-19 outbreak we have seen a increase in owner surrenders and an almost complete stop in donations. We currently house 23 rescued felines waiting for their forever homes. Our rescue partners that assist us with the overflow of intakes have currently stopped intakes because of the effects of the virus and mandated business shut downs. Our veterinary bill is at a $0.00 balance and we have had to stop all but emergency intakes due to a stop in donations. In the last few days we have 10 felines on our waiting list, living outdoors, with no animal control or other groups to take them in we are struggling to say no. With no donations to cover any felines care, only 6 tubs of litter, 10 bags of kitten food, 4 bags of adult food we are finding it hard to sleep at night. Myself and Lucky's Cat House board members are able and willing to support the current felines in our care, with adoptions all but stopped, for as long as needed. The money donated to this fundraiser will go to cover emergency medical expenses that arise, allow us to intake and vet immediate need kitties on our waiting list, purchase much needed litter, food, and supplies. Lucky's Cat House started to help the kitties in our small rural areas that have no other options as shelters and animal control are dog only. We have had to stop or TNR program due to no funding as a direct effect of the Covid-19 virus. Please help us help the unwanted, thrown out, discarded, neglected and abused kitties in Sothern middle Tennessee. We know it is a difficult time right now and we want to personally thank everyone who has helped us. We can't do it all, but we can do something.
