Support LAB's season of enriching concerts & activities in 2022-23!

Consider a gift to Los Angeles Baroque, now in its seventh season! Los Angeles Baroque is a weekly learning environment where musicians of all levels can come together for expert in-person small group coaching, "big band" training sessions and more. It is Los Angeles’s only community program for orchestral Baroque study. This Fall, we return to indoor public concerts at our home of St. James' Episcopal Church, South Pasadena.

Los Angeles Baroque needs your support to thrive:

We truly value our Angels—those who contribute $300 or more. These lead donors are listed in our programs and offered priority seating at our concerts. Formal indoor concerts are restarting this season, and LAB Angels will be acknowledged in our printed programs. However, donations in any amount are gratefully accepted.

When you contribute, you are giving vital support to:

-LAB's Orchestra Program, offered to college students studying Baroque performance practices, professional musicians who play modern instruments and want to learn how to play early music, and devoted amateurs to whom this music speaks so deeply;

-LAB's Scholarship Program, which each year allows six young people to enter the world of early music;

-LAB's Chamber Music Program, which introduces players to the vast repertoire of chamber music written between 1600 and 1750;

-LAB's Consort Club started in the summer of 2021, offering viol players the chance to explore the rich world of consort music in a coached environment. NEW in 2022-23: due to the popularity of this program, two groups are now offered - one in West LA plus the original South Pasadena Consort Club;

-LAB's Library Program. Through a rigorous audition process, the Los Angeles Public Library tapped us for its L.A. Made program, and in the coming season, we will again play in libraries throughout Los Angeles County;

-LAB's Music Ministry Program. We offer our artistic services to St. James’ music outreach program and holiday services.

We operate as a subsidiary of Jack Ryan Music LLC. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Aside from members' dues, we currently rely almost entirely on LAB's annual fund drives to fund our activities. Help us continue to bring meaningful, enriching early music experiences to greater LA's musicians and communities, and beyond!
