Lucia Johnson Medical Expenses

Thank you all for your generosity to the Johnson Family. While most of you know the specifics, I have to update the campaign to access the funds.

Kirk and I have been friends since childhood, both growing up as pastors kids, always part of the same groups through conventions.

We became close friends & roommates when I first moved to Rome, Georgia from Oklahoma. We've been there for each other, from our best moments, and unfortunately some of the worst moments.

Immediately following the tragic accident, I set up this account in anticipation of the financial burden to come. As funds have come in I (Don Waln) have withdrawal the necessary funds and paid accounts as directed by Kirk, while he took care of more pressing issues surrounding the family and while working out of town.

As the campaign winds down we would like to thank each and every one of you for all you have done. May God bless you tenfold!

Tuesday (6/13) Lucia gained her Angel wings, passing from the arms of her earthly Father, into the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Saturday (6/10)
A fun day of swimming turned to tragedy yesterday when four year old Lucia somehow slipped off her life jacket and fell into the deep end of the swimming pool. She was rushed to Floyd Medical and then airlifted to Egleston. When we arrived at Egleston with her parents, the doctors did not give much hope.

Please keep this family in your prayers as they have some very difficult decisions to make over the next few days. We know that God has the final word and HIS plan is so much bigger than ours. As you pray for her parents, please include her 4 sisters and several other church friends who witnessed this tragedy. This has been an extremely difficult and emotional weekend for us all.
