<div>Me encanta cocinar, cantar y bailar, y aunque hoy atravieso una dura batalla, sigo sosteniéndome en esas pequeñas cosas que me dan alegría y fuerza para continuar.

<div>El cáncer ha marcado profundamente a mi familia. Mi padre trabajó durante años en una fábrica de asbesto, y esa exposición cobró un precio muy alto: primero él perdió la vida por cáncer de pulmón, después mi hermano mayor, y ahora yo misma enfrento las consecuencias. Son huellas que siguen presentes hasta hoy, y que han cambiado para siempre nuestro camino familiar.

<div>Además, no es la primera vez que me enfrento a esta enfermedad. Hace casi 40 años me diagnosticaron cáncer en los cornetes y, tras múltiples cirugías y quimioterapias, logré superarlo. Fue una lucha dura, pero la gané con fe, fortaleza y el apoyo de mi familia. Sin embargo, la batalla nunca terminó del todo: hoy vuelvo a enfrentar un nuevo tipo de cáncer, con los mismos deseos de seguir viviendo y de salir adelante.

<div>En julio de 2024 recibí la noticia más dura: tengo mesotelioma pleural, un <strong>cáncer </strong>poco común que afecta la membrana de los pulmones y que está directamente relacionado con la exposición al <strong>asbesto</strong>. Desde entonces he recorrido un largo y costoso camino de tratamientos: seis ciclos de quimioterapia, radioterapia para controlar el dolor, y medicamentos que, aunque me dieron algo de tiempo, no lograron detener del todo la enfermedad. Hoy sigo luchando en una nueva etapa de tratamiento, porque rendirme nunca ha sido una opción.

<div><strong>Mi lucha hoy</strong>

<div>Actualmente estoy en segunda línea de tratamiento con quimioterapia de gemcitabina e inmunoterapia con durvalumab. Cada ciclo me da la oportunidad de seguir adelante, pero también representa un enorme reto económico y emocional para mí y mi familia. El costo mensual de este tratamiento es de 120 mil pesos, para cubrir los 5 ciclos de mi terapia necesitamos <strong>600 mil pesos</strong>, una cantidad imposible de solventar sin apoyo.
