Hello. My name is Lucel and on November 4th I will graduate from Universidad del Caribe (the University of the Caribbean), in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I am asking for help because I need money in order to get my degree and finish my studies. I have been working hard to get my degree in International Business for 4 years now. The money I raise will go towards the graduation ceremony such as the cap and gown, and graduation fees.
A little bit about me. I grew up in the Dominican Republic. When I was 9 years old, my mother died and my father could not take care of me or my siblings. I moved to an orphanage and lived there from 9 years to 21 years. Then I decided to go to university to study international business. In my future, I want to get a masters in international business. I want to start a company in the Dominican Republic, possibly importing Dominican coffee to other countries. I want to do this to help create jobs for Dominican people. I also have a dream of working in a Dominican embassy outside of my country. I am passionate about helping the poor people in my country and creating jobs to help build a more sustainable future for them.
Right now my dad is sick and he cannot work or give me money to help pay for my graduation. This is my last semester and I really want to graduate and celebrate all of my hard work.
I have had a lot of people help me throughout my life and I am so thankful for this opportunity to graduate from university. Thank you for helping me.
