Lucas Fox was born on February 21, 2014. He was born weighing 9 pounds 11 ounces and 21 and a half inches long. The first day lucas was alert just was concerned did not cry. The next day Lucas got very sick and was throwing up teal color. We got very concerned kept telling nurwe son throwing up.  At about 9:30 p.m. the nurse came in and told us Lucas was being sent to the NICU at St. Luke's Bethlehem. Immediately we broke down crying they them took us down there to see him. They said not much can do for him we are going to be sending him to St. Christophers  hospital in Philadelphia. Once we got to St. Christophers they said they would have to do surgery because had jejunal  atresia. While we're pushing  him into the operating room he flat lined  right in front of us.  Then got him oxygen and bagged  him then he started breathing. After that  they took him into surgery after the surgery  they came out and told us it went well. But they said he is very sick. They said once got in saw a part of small intestine  was not formed all the way.  So removed that part and reconnected together. The next day he was diagnosed with pulmonary   hypertension and said there is a 5% chance he will make it due to how sick he is. We trusted in Jesus and they put him on Ecmo .  And let his lungs rest after ten days they took him off it and seemed better just had trouble with breathing so intubated him and then cpap  and vapor therm. Another obstacle was the eating part. He has a poor suck and swallow so always aspirated with thin liquids .  But overcame that. Then around may the doctor at St christophers  came to us and said they think he is really yellow and they saidhe has billiary  atresia and wanted to do liver biopsy and if they think at that time his liver really bad they will do kasai  procedure. Well the liver was very bad and had cirrhosis  of the liver. After the kasai they still saw no change his bilirubin  was still high  and got transfered to chop for liver evaluation. And here is where found he needed liver transplant . To this day he is on 12 medicines for vitamins and proteins to help him. Al so 2 inhalers and a nebulizer. Times are so tough. Praying a liver  comes soon. Keep going back and forth from home to chop. Keeps getting viruses and infections. We are praying for help with things that lucas needs. Any help would be helpful and continue the prayers so gets his liver and healed soon. Lucas got his liver January 8, 2015. His bilirubin  went from 40 before surgery to 1.9 now. But now his respiratory issues are becoming a issue and can't get off vent. So coming to the time where trach  is gonna be the option. And we are doing this to help raise money for lucas and his parents to get a place so that all his equipment he would need can be there and be safe for him.  Please help any bit can help. ..
