My name is Lucas Pilli and I am here to ask for your help to get me into the Yale Sustainability Leadership Forum (YSLF), happening on September 12 - 15, 2017 at Yale University, is designed to develop concepts, tools, and strategies essential for leaders willing to successfully deal with the Sustainability trends and challenges of the 21st Century.
Today I was trilled to received not only my acceptance letter for the program but also an incredible U$ 2000 scholarship! But, I sill need to pay half of the tuition fees, lodging and travel expenses and as an international student with virtually no income, I see your contributions as the only way to afford this amazing opportunity.
Let's get down the numbers:
YSLF tuiton: U$ 3,995.00
Scholarship: U$ 2,000.00 (Yey!)
Tuiton Balance: U$ 1,995.00
Hotel (4 nights* @ 199.00/night + tax): U$ 915.40
Flight Phoenix-New Haven-Phoenix: (around) $500.00
Total amount needed: U$ 3,410.40
GoFundMe fees (approx.) U$ 600
Total Campaign amount (approx.): U$ 4,000.00
* since the logistics/flight paths between Phoenix, AZ and New Haven, CT is pretty bad, I will likely have to stay one extra night at the hotel.
Even though this is already a huge number, if we are able to collect a greater value, I am commited to donate the excedent money to a Scholarship Fund (still to be determined), enabeling others to go after their dreams as well.
A little bit about myself:
I am fascinated by organizations that are being able to make positive environmental or social impacts through innovative business models, and my passion for sustainability made me decide to pivot my professional career in Brazil and come to US to work on MBA from W. P. Carey School of Business, at Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!). As one of the pioneers for the Forward Focus Program at W. P. Carey, I am concentrating my studies on Supply Chain Management so I can devote my future career toward Sustainable Supply Chains.
Thanks for you time and attention and I hope you can help me accomplish my goal.
See you in Connecticut!
