Lucas' Journey To Heaven
Lucas Rockett passed away on September 14th. Only 26 years old, he is survived by Hazel Jean, his 16 month old daughter and his fiancé Jennifer.

Today is his memorial in Ocala, FL
He was cremated and brought up to gather for a celebration of his life. And for distant friends and family to meet his beautiful daughter!

My name is Jennifer Sangprasert. I am Lucas Rockett's fiance and mother of his daughter Hazel Jean Sangpreasert.
We are both from Florida. However, Hazel was made in Alaska. When she was about 6 months old we left a few days before it snowed. I didn't want to drive on icy roads with an infant. So we returned to Royal Palm Beach FL.
He was a wonderful daddy. He was so excited to be a father. He helped deliver her at the hospital. He changed diapers. Cooked for us. Did laundry. You name it, he did it. Even made me breakfast every morning while i was pregnant. On top of helping with everything he also worked everyday.
It breaks my heart everytime I look into her eyes and see her daddy, knowing that he won't be here to teach her all the things a father should teach their daugher. Like riding a bike or driving a car. He wanted to teach her to play the drums. I don't know how im supposed to do this without him. We had so many plans for our life together. God took him away too soon. We needed a few more years together as a family. How am i supposed to intimidate her first boyfriend. Or kick some guys ass for breaking her heart. Its so unfair he was taken from us so young. From his daughter so young.
Every morning I show her his picture on my cell phone and she kisses it. My only hope now is that she remembers him and how much he loves her.
As mentioned before donations will go to his cremation and memorial service, and savings account in his daughters name for college.

Also my condolences to anyone who has lost a parent or parents, or any loved one. Its a hole in your heart that can't be filled.
---ORIGINAL POST WHILE IN ICU---
On Friday September 8th in preparation for Hurricane Irma, Lucas fell off a ladder while helping others put up their shutters. It was not too high; however, he fell backwards without bracing himself and hit his head on the concrete. He is now in the ICU fighting for his life. The doctors are keeping him in a medically induced coma until his brain is healed enough to wake him up. They are draining the fluid from his brain as well as monitoring the pressure. Lucas suffered multiple fractures to the base of his skull and has a bruised lung.
We will continue to give everyone updates on his recovery, but we will not know more until the doctors are able to wake him.
Please help us raise money for Lucas Rockett to help with his medical and living expenses for him and his young family. Lucas is only 26 years old and has a fiancé and a 16-month-old daughter.
