Hello everyone,
About 7 months ago I made a hard decision to leave the military after 6 years of faithful active duty service, and pursue another path. Like everyone who takes big leaps of faith as it concerns major decisions in one's life I was nervous, but understood the step forward was necessary, and put in motion my "grand plan". A little over two months ago, weeks before finally parting ways with the Air Force, I realized some things might not go exactly as planned as my mother, Lu Simpson, was diagnosed with breast cancer; according to medical professionals the cancer is rapidly growing. For a while she kept it to herself, most likely to limit stress among her children and surrounding family as most parents, or people who love in general, do.
My mother, after much consultation, deliberation, and prayer, has decided to undergo integrative treatment for the cancer, meaning that it will include traditional medicine as well as homeopathic medicine, which is not covered by her insurance. The estimated cost listed is the cost of the treatment alone, but our hope is that the donated funds will also assist in alleviating some household expenses for her as she will be out of work for at least 1-2 months for her treatments. Thus far she has exhausted most of her savings and is consequently unable to continue further care.
My mom has been a single parent for most of her parental life working 2 jobs or more and has never had to ask anyone for financial assistance and therefore it has been so difficult for her to reach out on her own to those who would be willing to help her in this way. This is the reason I am reaching out and relying on the kindness of her friends, family, and even strangers in hopes that she may receive the financial support she desperately needs to continue along the path of treatment that will give her the most optimal outcome for preserving her life. Equally valuable to the funds needed for my mother is your faith and prayers that she will be healed, and for peace as she embarks on this journey. We support her decision for this method of treatment and will share her testimony with you when it is all over. Your kindness and generosity is immensely appreciated.
