Help Mom Move to NC

My mother Janet is 76 years old.   When my father died, he left her in terrible financial trouble and she can no longer afford her mortgage in the house they bought together 38 years ago. I have moved away and my sister has as well, leaving my mom alone and barely able to make ends meet with her Social Security.  She stopped paying her mortgage months ago and it is only a matter of time until the bank makes her leave the home she has been in for half her life. 

I have offered to move her here to NC so that she has me close by but on my teacher's salary, I can't afford much and she has nothing and no resources.  I can help her once she gets here but moving her is going to cost a lot, and securing a place for her to live is even more.  This money would help move my mom easily across the country from St. Louis to Fayetteville, and set her up in her own little place.  She has tried to find a place to go in St. Louis, but the weather is bad, the city is big and many of the places she might afford are in dangerous areas.  And they won't let her take her dog, Clooney.  She would try to live in her car before she would go anywhere without that dog--he's the last thing she and my dad got together before he died.

Any little bit would help us get her here safely and help her start over, which is a terrifying prospect for her.  She hasn't lived anywhere but that house for the last 38 years.  Thank you for all you can do to help :)  Mom and I are really appreciative of all the people who touch our lives.
