Jacob's Wheelchair

Hello! My name is Jacob Scoggins. I am paralyzed at C7 and use a manual wheelchair to get around. I need a new wheelchair. Most manual wheelchairs are not built to really last, with the exception of a few companies. Lasher Sport is one of those companies that builds very well engineered wheelchairs that truly stand the test of time. My current wheelchair is falling apart, with many aspects of the chair just not functioning at all. My front wheels are breaking, literally, and I am no longer able to repair them successfully and it is not in my budget to pay a repair shop to fix them. The back is no longer offering support and locking in place which results in poor posture and extreme difficulty getting around on a daily basis. With how much I rely on my wheelchair, I need one I can count on without question and one I can fix with relative ease. So because of this I have identified Lasher Sport as a company that I would like to get a wheelchair from. This wheelchair has accessories that I can purchase which help me maintain my active lifestyle of going to the beach and going on trails with my friends while being able to push myself. However, my insurance company does not work with them and I cannot afford one on my own which is why I am asking you all for help. They are expensive wheelchairs but you get what you pay for in quality and longevity. In addition, due to the harsh impact that wheelchair use has on my upper body-joint and nerve damage in my shoulders, elbows, and wrists, I am asking for help with a mobility accessory called the Dragonfly. This handcycle attaches to the front of a wheelchair allowing me to go places without putting stress on my already damaged joints, helping me to rest them and eventually begin the healing process.
