Hello, my loves.
My name is Megan and I am a 23 year old actor with a fondness for almond croissants and the works of Wes Anderson.
Acting has been my forever dream.
My family will no doubt tell you tales of a childhood spent mostly in fancy dress, dancing about and singing ABBA at family functions.
No matter what hobbies I tried as a kid - everything from fencing to sewing - I always came back to the stage.
Being on stage and telling stories feels, to me, like the closest thing to real life magic.
My biggest cheerleader throughout my life (like seriously, we could here her cheers above all the others over the tannoy in the dressing room) was my mother, Gretel.
She had a total zest for life and she made you believe you were capable of anything and everything.
Four days after my magnificent mum passed away from advanced ovarian cancer, I had my recall for the London School of Musical Theatre and, by some miracle, I got in.
Mum always told my sister and I that she didn’t want our lives to stop just because hers had to.
A portion of mum’s life insurance money will be able to pay my tuition fees for the year, and although all I wish is for her to be here, it feels like I am taking her along on the journey with me.
However, London is a pricey place for an artist, and so I am trying to fundraise as much as I can to help towards my living costs; bills etc.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, but I understand the world is a crazy place at the moment, so don’t worry at all if you are not able to donate.
Wishing you every happiness. X
