Brian's Liver Transplant Fund

Hello I'm Brian. I created this "gofundme" to assist with the costs of a liver transplant. At 42 and overall healthy, I never imagined I would be battling a terminal illness.

I reluctantly created this account, primarily because of pride and the belief that one should not ask for handouts.  Well I guess this is a lesson in humility cause I am reminded of the passage from the Bible (NKJV)
James:2 "You have not cause you ask not." Pride is no use to the person battling for their life.

My name was recently placed on the Liver Recipient List so now it is just a matter of time for me. Your donation, if you so choose to do so, will go toward the cost of my medical expenses and insurance.  You can only imagine the costs associated with this procedure and life change.

I've shared some of the experiences of this journey on Facebook with the hope that others my find strength or whatever I can offer, through my personal testimonies. It is something when you're told you have end-stage liver failure. "End what! Not me." Why not me. Faith, keeping a positive outlook, and prayers have kept me continuously smiling thus far. I'm told I have greater calling and that this is just part of the process; sometimes we have to go through to get through. I'm ready. Not my will but Thy will shall be done.
