Christmas Eve 2014 found the Harmon family enjoying a bonfire this year. Somehow, (the details are truly a little fuzzy to all of us) a nearby empty gas-can exploded, setting Matt on fire!!
Since the family had no health insurance for Matt, the decision to go to the hospital was truely a difficult one to swallow! Matt went to the E.R.
However, understanding the severity of Matt's situation came the following week when they were ushered in for skin grafting on Matts entire left calf. Masterful skills from Dr. Smith and relief from natural solutions have facilitated 100% take on all grafts - a miracle in itself!
Many Earthly angels have supported the family in the cost of bandages, ointment and meds, and we are happy to report Matt's leg is healing well! However, near $100,000 in medical bills recently arrived. With their current financial situation, even with multiple sources of income, this burden will create long-term financial stress on the family.
Rebekah and Matt have given of their time, talents, energy and passions to serve and love all those around them. They continue to look for ways to support those in need. Even since this life-changing event, the couple and their children continue to think outside themselves and extend a helping hand. They are the salt of the earth people who will forever have gratitude in their hearts for your help. Thank you for your contribution!
