My sister, Patty, and her husband
were sleeping comfortably in their beds last week when the ceiling tumbled down on top of them. They awoke to smoke alarms and dogs barking frantically. Their bedroom door was blocked by debris and flames. Fortunately they had a sliding door off their bedroom that led to a balcony. Lynn jumped down and Patty threw each dog over the railing to him. Then Patty jumped over landing on Lynn and they both toppled to the ground battered but alive. Their house burnt to the ground thanks to a nibbling squirrel in the attic. They lost everything. A couple days later While sleeping in the hotel room, Patty stopped breathing. 911 was called as she turned purple. A police officer arrived first and was able to get her breathing again. Bless him. She was transported and remained unresponsive in critical condition on a vent to breath for her. She remained in critical condition but improved with medication and the support of ICU staff. Patty is now awake and breathing with oxygen assistance. Her lung was fully blocked and her body had started to shut down. This is going to be a long road to recovery. I'm grateful to still have my sister , her husband and my nephew, and of course Buddy and Waterford- the dogs. I've never done anything like this but I'm asking for your help to raise money for them while they struggle to get well and start over. Medical bills are mounting and they will have to purchase everything. Kennel costs are expensive as finding a place to rent that allows dogs is difficult. We are a proud family but need any help you can give. We take prayers too! Thank you all for any assistance you can provide. Be well!
