For 50 years our Club has proudly served the community through youth sports programs including swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming and open waters swimming in San Juan, Puerto Rico. We are a non profit and self-funded institution affiliated with the FPN (Puertorrican Swimming Federation in spanish) and receive no government or municipal financial aid.
In September of 2017, Puerto Rico was devastated by two major hurricanes, Irma and Maria within a two week period. As many images have shown, our island was directly hit and our pool and surrounding facilitues were no exceptions. Furthermore, the difficulties in re-establishing the electrical grid have also put an additional strain in our daily functions, since we have to rely on external power generators and fuel just to keep the pool sanitary and running.
Thankfully our fate was beter than most, since most competitive pools on the island suffered severe damage and are closed with no opening date scheduled.
This page is designed to ask you to help us keep the swimming community alive. We are currently providing swim space for other swimming groups, and are looking to keep serving our youth. We need to fix the roof that was blown away by the strong winds, fix the light, lightposts, the fence as well as the extraordinary pool maintenance to keep it from turning green. In addition, due to the amount of rain water during the storm, part of the terrain in our parking lot was washed away. The task is monumental, but completely doable. We need your help.
Any amount thay you can contribute will get us one step closer to our goal. Thank you!!
