Loving Shipibo Konibo Family needs our help

Dear friends, family and supporters,
We hope you are doing well in this challenging time.
Our dear friend Sany Meny (Maestro Wilter Javier Lopez Romayna) and his family of 15 people, are currently in good health but the measures around the corona virus are taking its toll.
This is an extraordinary devastating time for so many Shipibo-Konibo communities and families. The Government doesn't look after its native people, of which the Shipibo Konibo Communties make up a large part. Access to basic necessities, including food, are becoming very difficult in this time. The complete area is now in the midst of the crisis, and it doesn't look like the situation will change anytime soon.
Normally, Sany Meny would be the main provider for the family, but that has come to a screeching halt as Peru closed its borders over 2 months ago and will most likely keep it like this for a few months to come. For this reason no healing seeking tourists are able to come by, and he doesn't receive any exchange for his healing work.
Two weeks ago a few team members already have been helping Sany Meny privately but unfortunately we can't possibly send enough money to Peru to help. That is why we created this GoFundMe to help Sany Meny and all the people who rely on him through this pandemic.
We totally understand that everybody has been affected by this global situation. It's a challenging time financially for most of us. If you are able, a small donation would be very helpful for this family.

Onze dierbare vriend Sany Meny (Maestro Wilter Javier Lopez Romayna) en zijn gezin van 15 mensen verkeren momenteel in goede gezondheid, maar de maatregelen rondom het corona virus, eisen ook in Peru zijn tol. Dit is een buitengewoon verwoestende tijd voor heel veel Shipibo-Konibo-gemeenschappen en families. De regering zorgt niet voor haar inheemse bevolking, waarvan de Shipibo Konibo Communities een groot deel uitmaken. Toegang tot basisbehoeften, inclusief eten, is in deze tijd erg moeilijk. Het hele gebied bevindt zich nu midden in de corona-crisis en het ziet er er niet naar uit dat dat binnenkort zal veranderen.
Normaal gesproken is Sany Meny de belangrijkste kostwinner voor de familie, maar dat is tot stilstand gekomen toen de grenzen van Peru 2 maanden geleden sloten. Volgens de laatste berichten blijft dit de komende maanden zo. Om deze reden kunnen er geen heling-zoekende-toeristen langskomen en ontvangt hij geen enkele ruil voor zijn genezende werk.
Twee weken geleden hebben een paar teamleden Sany Meny al privé geholpen, maar helaas kunnen we onmogelijk genoeg geld naar Peru sturen om voldoende te helpen. Daarom hebben we deze GoFundMe gemaakt om Sany Meny en alle mensen die op hem vertrouwen tijdens deze pandemie te helpen.
We begrijpen volledig dat iedereen door deze mondiale situatie is getroffen. Het is financieel een uitdagende tijd voor ons allemaal. Mocht je in de gelegenheid zijn dan is
