Loving on the Laheys

For those of you who aren't aware, Bob Lahey was in a serious motorcycle accident on Friday morning, March 23rd, in Orlando, FL. He is currently at Orlando Regional Medical Center in the ICU on a ventilator. In the accident, he suffered a traumatic brain injury and a severely broken leg. Bob already underwent surgery to repair the leg injury, but is still fighting for his life on the ventilator. The prognosis is not great, and although his family remains hopeful, the medical professionals are unsure that he will be able to make it through the remainder of the week due to the brain injury that he has sustained. Should his prognosis change and he begin the long road to recovery, he will face months to years of intensive therapy and medical treatment to regain unknown levels of functioning. 

As one could imagine, this tragic event can never be financially planned for in advance. At this point, members of the family have had to buy last minute plane tickets to fly down and be with Bob at his bedside. While supporting Bob in the hospital, the family is having to pay for a room to stay near the hospital campus. Regardless of Bob's future health, there will be a number of continuous expenses that will continue to impact the family including bringing Bob back to Indiana. 


This is one of the hardest things this family has endured and the last thing they need to worry about is current medical and living expenses, as most of the family is without work while they spend time traveling to Florida to be with Bob. Our hope by creating this page is that the family will be able to focus on the things that truly matter, like spending time with a loved one, and not have to worry about how they will pay for everything.
