Loving Me Books

To honor what would have been my Great-Grandmother Earline’s 102nd birthday, I have partnered with Loving Me Books, LLC to raise $250. Loving Me Books is an online book retailer that partners with school libraries, day care centers, book fairs and other educational programs to distribute culturally representative books to students with reflections of themselves in the images and stories they are reading. With your generous contribution, an elementary school in Detroit, MI will be gifted 25 books with diverse characters and culturally enriching stories. The donation will be made to honor Earline Winston’s legacy and the importance of reading comprehension and literacy. The vision of Loving Me Books is to provide a powerful space to promote self-love, identity, and ignite children to spread love throughout the universe. The founder of Loving Me Books, Angela Nesbitt, is a native Detroiter and graduate of Alabama State University, and has worked as a Youth Counselor and Behavioral Therapist for over 5 years.
