Loving family in need after horrid car accident

A wonderful loving family almost experienced the ultimate loss yesterday 10/25/2020 when their 16 yo son David Hamman
was driving his best friend home and tragically another driver on opposite side of the road crossed over 3 lanes and slammed head on into David shattering both legs and causing multiple spots of bleeding in his brain. He is still unconscious in room 333 ICU at JPS & was in surgery for 8 hours today while they tried to save one leg from amputation & Dr's are still unsure on the outcome. David loves skateboarding so we pray his leg isn't lost.
This kid is one of 9 children (4 grown) and is an amazing human being. He has a huge heart and is always willing to help anyone in need including his beautiful mother who is fighting a brain tumor. A witness at the accident scene told his mother that she saw the accident happen and that David's defensive maneuvers actually saved the lives of the other 3 people in the car due to him taking the brunt of the attack on his side. David's friend that was in the back seat told David's mother today with tears in his eyes the last words David said before seizures made him lose consciousness I'm glad my sister's weren't in the car.
If everything works out for the best he will be in a wheelchair for 3 mths and require rehabilitation not including what may be needed for his traumatic brain injury. Their home will need to be made handicap able with a wheelchair ramp, hospital bed and rails to assist with David's everyday functions. His mother works in medical billing and can't afford any of these things and has no insurance for even her own cancer battle.
